PRIVACY POLICY

scalethedepths.io is an unofficial fan site for the game Scale the Depths by Glass Gecko Games. We respect your privacy and try to keep data collection to the bare minimum required to run a website.

What we collect

• Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which collects aggregated, anonymized traffic data (page views, country, browser type). It does not use cookies and does not track individual users.
• Server logs: standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) are temporarily retained by our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) for abuse prevention.
• Game data: the embedded Unity game runs entirely in your browser. Any progress is saved locally to your browser's storage and never transmitted to our servers.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not require accounts, sign-ups, or email addresses.
• We do not use behavioral advertising cookies.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
• We do not use Google Analytics or any cross-site tracking scripts.

Third-party content

Some pages link to external sites (Steam, itch.io, the Glass Gecko Games website). Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices.

Cookies

We currently set no first-party cookies. If we ever add cookies (for example, to remember a theme preference), we'll update this policy and notify visitors prominently.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we don't collect personally identifiable information, there is generally nothing for us to delete on request. If you believe we've stored any data about you, email hello@scalethedepths.io and we will investigate within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and announce the change on the homepage.
