Great white sharks are powerful hunters with streamlined bodies, strong tails, and rows of serrated teeth designed for tearing through flesh. They rely on a combination of senses, including an acute sense of smell, excellent vision, and the ability to detect electrical signals produced by other animals. Their massive, oil-rich liver can make up over a quarter of their body weight, helping them maintain buoyancy and store energy. Despite their solitary nature, great whites communicate using body language to establish dominance and avoid conflict with one another.
