◆ Cosmetics & collectibles

Scale the Depths All Cosmetics & Collectibles

All 26hats with their cost and materials, plus every confirmed boat, body, and decal — the collection behind the game’s rarest achievements. Hats are the one fully verified list; the other three categories are documented honestly, with confirmed finds separated from what the community is still pinning down.

◇ Data snapshot

Data snapshot based on the wiki as of the 2026-06 full release. If the v1.1 update (2026-08-23) added or moved anything, the in-game menu is the final authority — this page is updated as new details are confirmed.

◇ The three cosmetic achievements

Fashion Fan

0.2%

Collect every hat AND every body cosmetic. Hats alone do NOT unlock it — the bodies are the half most people miss.

Boat Collector

1.8%

Collect every boat blueprint — roughly one per world, about six in total.

Decal Delighter

0.6%

Collect every decal. One of them (the Squid) is a shop purchase, not an exploration pickup, which trips a lot of runs up.

Rarity = share of players who have earned it. See the full achievements guide for all 25.

◇ How cosmetics work

Scale the Depths ties four kinds of cosmetics to your submarine and diver: hats, body outfits, hull decals, and whole boats. Unlike the story collectibles — artifacts, bottled messages, and legendary fish that push a world toward its 100% Secrets stamp — cosmetics are pure vanity, but they back three of the rarest achievements in the game, so completionists still chase every last one.

Hats come three ways. A handful are exploration pickups sitting in chests as you dive. Most are bought from the shop for cash plus a material called Torn Cloth. And four are set pieces that stay locked until you collect a specific artifact first — you cannot buy the Aztec Hat, for instance, until you have the Quetzalćōātl Statue in hand. Below, the hats are grouped by world so you can sweep one region at a time.

◆ Core list

All 26 Hats

⚠ Don’t miss
The Space Soldier Helmet in Point Nemo is the hat players lose the most sleep over. It is an exploration pickup buried in the final world, in the very same spot as the last body cosmetic — so a single missed location can cost you both, and it is the top reason a Fashion Fan run stalls one item short.

◆ Half of Fashion Fan

Body Cosmetics

Mexican Flower Dress

Confirmed

Huatulco · Community-confirmed exact location in Huatulco.

Space Soldier armor

Confirmed

Point Nemo · In the same spot as the Space Soldier Helmet in Point Nemo — grab both together.

Only two body cosmetics are confirmed with high confidence. A complete authoritative body list has not been published; the community is still verifying the rest. Because Fashion Fan requires every body as well as every hat, we are keeping this list honest rather than guessing — new confirmed entries are added as they surface.

◆ Hull decals

Decals

Squid

Confirmed

Point Nemo · Bought from the shop, not found on the exploration route.

◇ This is the big gotcha. Because it is tucked away in the shop instead of on the dive path, players routinely assume the decal is bugged or that an achievement failed to fire. It is not a bug — check the shop.

Wave

Confirmed

Huatulco · Chest inside the church in Huatulco.

Bush Decal

Confirmed

Loch Ness · Found in a chest tucked into the bushes in Loch Ness.

Dolphin Silhouette

Community-reported

Outer Banks · Community-reported in Outer Banks (medium difficulty).

◇ Reported but not yet fully pinned down — treat the exact spot as pending verification.

Three to four decals are well documented; a complete decal list is still being verified. The rest are marked pending rather than invented. If a decal-based achievement won't unlock, the Squid shop decal above is the usual culprit.

◆ Blueprints (~6 total)

Boats

Viking Longship

Confirmed

Loch Ness · Blueprint in a chest in the throne room, gated behind a two-lever puzzle.

Diving Boat

Confirmed

Huatulco · Blueprint found in Huatulco.

Boats work on a blueprint system — roughly one blueprint per world, for about six boats total. Two are named and located here; the remaining blueprints are community-reported and pending verification, so we are not inventing names or spots for them.

✱ Common mix-ups that stall a 100% cosmetic run

  • Hats alone don’t earn Fashion Fan. The achievement needs every hat andevery body cosmetic. If you have all 26 hats and it still won’t pop, you are missing a body — most often the Space Soldier armor in Point Nemo.
  • The Squid decal is a shop item, not a bug. It is sold in the Point Nemo shop rather than placed on the dive route, so sweeping the map never turns it up. Buy it and Decal Delighter can complete.
  • Set hats are gated behind an artifact. The Astronaut Helmet, Pirate Captain Hat, Knight’s Helm, and Aztec Hat do not appear in the shop until you have collected their linked artifact first.
  • Grab the Space Soldier pair together. The helmet and the body cosmetic share one Point Nemo location — sweep it once and you clear two of the hardest items at the same time.

? Frequently asked

How many hats are in Scale the Depths?

There are 26 hats in total. Some are exploration pickups found in chests across the four worlds, but most are bought from the shop for cash plus Torn Cloth, and four are set pieces gated behind an artifact you have to collect first (Astronaut Helmet, Pirate Captain Hat, Knight's Helm, and Aztec Hat).

Why won't the Fashion Fan achievement unlock even though I have every hat?

Fashion Fan needs every hat AND every body cosmetic — collecting all the hats is only half of it. Bodies are the piece most players overlook. The Space Soldier body sits in the same Point Nemo spot as the Space Soldier Helmet, so if you missed that helmet you have likely missed the body too.

Why is the Squid decal not unlocking / is it bugged?

The Squid decal is not bugged. Unlike the other decals, it is a shop purchase in Point Nemo rather than something you find on the exploration route, so players sweep the map, never find it, and assume the achievement is broken. Open the shop and buy it.

How many boats can you collect in Scale the Depths?

Boats use a blueprint system with roughly one blueprint per world, for about six boats in total. Two are firmly documented: the Viking Longship (Loch Ness throne room, behind a two-lever puzzle) and a Diving Boat in Huatulco. The remaining blueprints are still being confirmed by the community.

What is the hardest hat to find?

The Space Soldier Helmet in Point Nemo is the most commonly reported miss. It is an exploration pickup tucked away in the game's final world, in the same location as the last body cosmetic, and it is the item most people are hunting for when their cosmetic achievement refuses to complete.
